What a Roatán Airport Transfer Actually Costs in 2026
Flat rates by zone, what a street taxi really costs after a long flight, and the two things that move the price on a Roatán airport transfer.
Read the guideOne fare for the whole group, agreed on WhatsApp before you land. The fixed-price alternative to a taxi, operated by local drivers.
Roatán runs about sixty kilometres end to end on a single main road, so what you pay is how far east you go.

We reply with the price, the vehicle and your driver's name.
At RTB we wait in arrivals with a name sign. At hotels and ports, we come to the door.
All of it is priced by the same zone board above. What changes is the meeting point — and knowing exactly where your driver will be standing is most of the value.
Private pick-up at Juan Manuel Gálvez International (RTB). We watch your flight, meet you in the arrivals hall with a name sign and drive straight to your hotel.

Pick-up at Mahogany Bay and Coxen Hole Town Center. Timed around your ship's all-aboard so you get back to the pier with room to spare.

Arriving on the Galaxy Wave from La Ceiba? We meet you at the Dixon Cove ferry terminal and take you and your bags anywhere on the island.

Island-wide hotel-to-hotel rides — West Bay to Camp Bay, French Harbour to West End, or a lift to dinner and back. Same flat zone pricing.

Keep a vehicle and driver at your disposal for a half or full day — shopping, beach hopping, a dive site on the East End, or an errand run.

Weddings, dive clubs, corporate retreats and family reunions. Multiple vehicles, one schedule, one point of contact from arrival to departure.
Every arrival, one thread
From Juan Manuel Gálvez International (RTB) to West Bay is a flat $55 for 1–4 passengers and $85 for 5–9. West Bay, West End, Sandy Bay, Coxen Hole, French Harbour, Parrot Tree, Pristine Bay, Las Verandas and Próspera are all Zone 1, so they share that price.
Per group, in two sizes. One to four people pay the same $55 to West Bay; five to nine pay $85. That is the main difference between a private transfer and a shared shuttle that charges per seat.
We track the flight number you give us and shift the pick-up to match. Waiting time on a delayed arrival is not charged. If a flight is cancelled outright, just tell us on WhatsApp and we move the booking.
Your driver waits just outside the arrivals hall, past customs, holding a sign with your name. RTB is small — you will not walk more than a minute. For cruise ports we meet at the taxi/tour area outside the terminal gate.
Yes. Tell us how many bags in the request form so the vehicle that comes has room for them — tanks, BCDs and rolling gear bags included.
Yes, and the schedule is built backwards from your all-aboard time, not from when the excursion ends. We build in a buffer for island traffic so nobody is watching the clock on the drive back.
We can bring one on request at no extra cost — mention the child's age in the notes field so we bring the right seat. Please ask when you book rather than on the day.
A day or two is normally plenty. During Christmas, Easter, Semana Santa and cruise-heavy weeks, book as soon as your flights are set — those are the days that fill up first.
Yes. Cancel at least 24 hours before your pick-up time and you get a 100% refund. Just tell us on WhatsApp.
Nothing is charged when you send the request. We confirm the total in writing on WhatsApp first, and agree the payment method with you there before the day of travel.
It is a private transfer, which on Roatán is what most people mean when they search for an airport taxi or an airport shuttle. The difference from a street taxi is that the price is fixed and agreed in writing before you travel instead of negotiated at the kerb. The difference from a shared shuttle is that the vehicle is yours — no waiting for it to fill and no stopping at other hotels first.
Yes. Book the ride back in the same request and you pay $10 less than two one-way fares: $100 instead of $110 for 1–4 people to Zone 1, for example. Pick Round trip in the form and the fare is worked out for you.
Yes. A supermarket run, a pharmacy or a quick lunch stop within the same zone costs nothing extra — just mention it when you book so the driver has the time in the schedule. Stops that cross into another zone are quoted before you travel.
Usually, yes — ask for it when you book. Many guests keep one driver for the airport pick-up, the hotel changes mid-week and the return to RTB, which means one WhatsApp thread and one person who already knows the plan.
